Usher Ministry
When
people come to church they often have a lot on their mind and outside
pressures have put the “squeeze” on them. From the moment you arrive at
Bethel Assembly, we
believe that it will be a time of uplift and inspiration, a time of
renewal and celebration. Our skillful ushers help to make this a reality
for those in attendance. Our usher team plays a major role in ensuring
that people see and experience the love and life improving power of
Jesus Christ. The ministry of ushering is very crucial to the body of
Christ.
Some of the responsibilities of an usher are:
1. Direct all incoming traffic for church services to ensure proper mobility around parking lots.
2. Greet worshipers, making every attempt to help them feel welcome and at ease.
3. Escort members and guests to their seats as needed.
3. Receive offerings.
4. Distribute communion.
5. Maintain alertness for any emergency
that may arise, relieving the need or contacting the person(s) needed to
provide the proper assistance.
